Prescriptions

Bring your NHS or private prescription to the counter. We dispense carefully, check interactions, and explain anything that is new. If an item is out of stock we will tell you the expected day and, where the prescriber agrees, suggest an equivalent.

Repeat collection

Ask us to hold your regular items so they are ready when you walk in. Nominate Ashworth Pharmacy with your GP surgery if you want electronic prescriptions sent here.

Private prescriptions

We dispense private prescriptions written by a UK prescriber. The charge covers the medicine and the professional check. We will quote the price before we order anything unusual.

Medicine advice

Questions about timing, food, or side effects are welcome at the counter or in the consultation room. The New Medicine Service is available when a newly started NHS medicine qualifies.

NHS charges and exemptions

If you pay for NHS prescriptions, the current national charge applies per item unless you hold a valid exemption or prepayment certificate. Tell us at the counter if you are exempt and bring evidence when you have it. We do not guess exemption status.
